After several sightings and phone calls of a pelican with fishing line trailing behind it we headed down to the Noosa River early in the morning to find it.
Not long after arriving we spotted the beautiful big bird and rescued it on a quiet stretch of beach. The pelican was so calm and seemed content with us freeing it from the fishing line.
If you see any injured, sick or distressed wildlife out on the Noosa River please report it so help can be organised asap.
