Will Watson, QLD Day Award Winner

We're excited to announce that Wildlife Noosa's founde, Will Watson, has received a 2024 QLD Day Award in recognition of his tireless efforts and outstanding commitment to Animal Rescue and Immediate Care across the greater Noosa and Sunshine Coast regions. He works tirelessly, is always available for people to call and will respond immediately no matter the time of day or night and no matter the weather. Will supports young people who want to learn about animal rescues, providing training to those who want to learn and help with rescues. He is available to schools for talks about our native animals and he provides possum boxes, micro-bat boxes and any help the faculty need for the native animals that inhabit the fauna in the school.  Will has been conducting animal rescues in the Noosa region for over 10 years and constantly patrols the Noosa River, removing rubbish and fishing lines in trees that frequently injure our wildlife and rescuing any wildlife caught in wires or lines.
